A while ago on SBS (Australia) I watched a really short foreign film called "Argentine Tango".
I searched it up on the SBS website and here are the details:
It was aired in Australia on the 30th March 2010 at 2:45PM - 3:00PM (15 mins).
Plot: An office clerk introduces two of his colleagues to their soul mates as his Christmas gift. (From Belgium in Flemish, English subtitles) (Short) (Repeat) PG WS
What I remember from the film is that one of the characters was named Franz.
And this is what I can remember from the film:
the office clerk first met a girl over the net who wants to meet him at a tango club, as she is a skilled dancer, in which he states to her that he is a 'professional dancer'. He 'pretends' to have no idea how to dance and asks his boss to help himto impress her. So, over the next two weeks, they take private dance lessons and they also secretly practise in the workplace place, much the the suspicions of everyone. So the big day comes along and the office clerk goes to the tango club to meet the woman. His boss comes along to make sure he dances correctly. When the office clerk and the woman dance, it is quite good at first, but then the office clerk takes a misstep and the woman ends up falling on the floor, humiliated by everyone. His boss then lectures him and the office clerk goes sits by the bar by himself. The music starts to play again, and the woman looks to the dance floor with longing. The boss sees this and then asks her to dance. When the office clerk sees how much fun and love for dancing the dancing couple share, he takes a list of names out of his pocket and ticks off the boss' name, thereby bestowing his boss a Christmas present that he is not aware of. The short film ends with the office clerk asking another worker to help him do something to impress a woman he met over the net, thus repeating the same process for that worker.
What I'd like to know is what language it actually is in, who the director is, and if it is available to purchase on DVD or something.
Thanks very much!!
Don't worry, finally found it:
