Have you tried playing Erepublik?

I have been playing this game for 10 months now and I can't get enough.

Erepublik is a web-based browser game. I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes long-term strategy games. A nice thing about it is that you can play for as long as you want, you can play it for literally 20 seconds a day or 20 hours a day like me.

Anyway in eRepublik you are a citizen of your own country, in my case Canada (you can switch if you want). You get a job, you fight and you do politics etc. It is also the most strategical browser game that I’ve ever played because there are regions that your nation can conquer or defend and such. And each region has its own resources and the resources vary how much they give you in income for each region. Examples on some regions are Schleswig-holstein, Eastern Macedonia, Quebec, there's literally hundreds of them.

You can create companies, you can work in companies, you can create newspapers, you can blog about the game ingame, you can become president, you can fight for glory and to defend your motherland. There is a lot of economy and politics involved. You got a congress, you vote for laws, you got elections each month, you vote for president and for a party. You also got for example inflation in the game, the game has a very in-depth economy.

At the moment there are two major alliances spanning the globe, EDEN and Phoenix. EDEN has Canada, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece, China, Australia to name a few and Phoenix has the UK, France, Germany, Serbia, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, so on so forth. (The USA used to be in EDEN but left.)

One of the beauties of this game is that countries that have large populations in real life don't necessarily have high populations in the game, and vise versa. For example currently the highest populated nation is Greece, yet they only have 11 million people in real life.

If you are interested in the game it would be nice if you used my referral link: http://www.erepublik.com/en/referrer/CrackerJacker

For the first week or so you may be overwhelmed by all the things you can do, but I urge you to hang in there! The game gets very fun once you learn the game.
