Have you seen Miss Jones? The Edge of Reason

Been to see Bridget's second outing today.

Abosultely fantastic! It has been some time simce I read the book so couldn't really remember anything from it apart from the Houseboy and Magda & Jeremy.

Funnily enough tho, these parts weren't included, other than Magda being in the film.

I would recommend the film to anyone, especially the prisoners stirring rendition of Madonna's 'Like a Virgin'

How did you manage to see it already ... it's not released until the 12th?? Lucky you though, I can't wait to see the next instalment which looks just as good as the first.

Couldn't possibly say how many times I've watched Bridget Jones' Diary - it's a film I never tire of seeing, especially on a wet and miserable Sunday afternoon ... just like today in fact lol. :)

I saw it yesterday.. God its poor.. Its going to disapoint alot of the hard core girlie bridget fans.. was more like a series of "funny" sketches than a film. Dont get me wrong, love the first one but this is gets 1.1234412442 / 274.43453 film monkeys!!

It is on advance preview. Everyday since yesterday. So basically, they should've released it officially on Friday passed.

I disagree whole heartedly with Mr_G. I thought it was fantastic. It was far removed from the second book, so those who are looking for a carbon copy of that may be disappointed. However, it was still a superb film.

And with a possibility of a third, or even a UK tv series then they may be able to fill in the blanks. Such as Vile Richard or Magda and Jeremy or the philipino house boy!!

I liked it too, had some very funny moments in it, and was (of course) very touching at times too.

Hugh Grant wasn't given quite as much time to shine as he was in the first film, which was a shame (I can't stand the 'foppish' Grant, but when he's being a bastard he's really good!), but Colin Firth put in an excellent and touching performance too. (My girlfriend commented after we'd watched the film, how much my personality is similar to Mark Darcy's. It's just a shame I don't have his physique or bloody good looks!)

Was nice also to see a bit part from The Office's Neil (Patrick Baladi), he looked quite different but still recognisable - even so I had to check the credits at the end to make sure it was really him.

Overall, not quite as good as the first one - what sequel ever is? - but still a bloody good (and, more importantly, *British*) film.

I saw this on Saturday and would agree it's a fantastic film well worth watching - although totally disagree about the prisoners singing Like a Virgin - I thought this was the weakest part of the film and way over the top.

Good, but not that good.
Was hoping for a lot more, of film 1. But it could not live up to all the hype. Which I feel is a growing problem with more and more films. They are hyped up so much due to how well the early films done that they are always going to be a let down.

Yes. Thank god they didn't let him speak much!!!

I try to avoid as much of the build up of any films that way the only way I'll be disappointed is if the film is rubbish and IMO this one wasn't.

And what made it even better was the Star Wars Ep3 trailer!

Yup. Not sure why it's being slated. It was quite funny, but not completely hilarious - much like the first one. Yes, they do recycle jokes from the first film and a couple of the jokes do fall flat, but some of it is laugh-out-loud funny and it is definitely an improvement on the (bitter and twisted) book on which it is based.
