to what THEY want to talk about? This is actually a serious question. I have come across people who try change the topic whenever I talk to them (no matter what the topic I bring up is). I am not boring. I am actually a pretty good conversationalist and empathetic to what another might find interesting or not. But, I have noticed with some people that from the second I open my mouth to have a conversation, they are trying desperately to redirect and steer it towards another totally unrelated topic. The topic being, what they find interesting at the moment.
It isn't so common, but if it is a close acquaintance it is really frustrating and can make you feel totally uninteresting. Have you ever known someone who does this? Do you dread opening up a conversation topic with them? Do you tell them what they are doing? Or do you just avoid chit-chat with them all together?
BQ - Do your kids watch cartoons every morning. Mine do for about an hour. Think it's too much?
Ha ha DClay - Exactly. But you cant say "Thoughts?" at the end. That implies you are actually talking to an active participant.
