Have you ever woken up at night with a very weird feeling?

It was like my brain was in some weird state, like I took half a hit of LSD or something. I felt restless but like I was half asleep at the same time. I had the weirdest body buzz, too, like I was slightly outside of my body. It was a very disturbing sensation. It lasted a few hours, I kept on waking up just feeling strange.

What caused this? I was not under the influencing of anything.
