So, we are sitting around a few nights ago and the subject came to politics. I asked a couple of the girls, "Why do you like Obama?"
"He's cool." "He went on John Stewart." "He's hot!" "Because." "I don't know. I just like him." "Because I hate the Gop and the teabaggers."
So I ask them why they hate the tea party.
"They are stupid." "They are all old." "They are racist." "Did you see the way they were dressed?"
I change the conversation to real issues and I get, "I don't know." "I don't care about that." "The GOP are for the rich." "The GOP doesn't care about the poor." "They don't care about women."
I feel like I am back home and having a conversation with my 12 year old sister, although she is even much smarter than most of them.
Are these people a threat to our electoral process?
