Have you ever took your dog to the beach or camping?

Did they have fun? How did you prevent sunburn? What is something that you forgot to bring along and wished you had? What is something you forgot to take and wish you would have?

Were going camping and to the beach in late September and planning on taking the dog. So were looking for some insight and stories of others.
 
My dog loves camping and absolutly loves the beach. she digs all day long at the beach. take toys and leads and collers and food and you've got a happy dog
