HAVE YOU EVER MET A FEMALE MECHANIC (AUTO,AIRCRAFT ETC.)? IF SO WAS SHE A GOOD MECHANIC?

my friend is a girl and she is mechanic..id have to say shes not the greatest but she knows what she is doing..she just rebuilt her engine for there firebird but the funny thing is the very first car she got she didnt know she had to put oil in it LOL and then her second car she didnt put water in battery and it blew up ..and shes crashed about 3 other cars..soooo shes a car buff but cant drive LOL

2.) My mother was an aircraft mechanic for Douglas Aircraft and a
very good one. This was post WWII, in fact during the Korean
War.

Yes, I was an auto service tech so I did Tafe with a lot of people (only one other women). She was great. She actually got Apprentice of the year a couple of years back. Women can make good mechanics because of their attention to detail.
 
Yes in the UK more women re going into those fields. There are more driving instructors now too. My instructor was a female and there were testers that were also.
 
MM2 here...worked D type natural cycle boilers on us navy ships.
navy must have thought I was good, made second class in 4 years instead of the average 6, and got several awards.

also do all of my own work on my truck.

Grandfather works in the petroleum field, I've spent a few summers as a teen fixing pumping systems.

Pretty handy when it comes to mechanical stuff, really have fun with it to.
