Have you ever ignored a questionare from the courts to serve on a jury panel?

I am so sick of being summoned to serve on jury duty and never being picked only to be sent home after a few days. I just received another questionare to be sent in for consideration to serve on another jury. The scare tactic I have always falled for was that if you don't send in the questionaire in 20 days, I will be fined or arrested. I've been told by some freinds in the past that they just ignore the questionare and don't send it in and they have never been fined or arrested because of contempt of court. This will be the 3 time within a 6 year period I would be summoned. Grrr. DOn't get me wrong, I realize its my right and its the American way but I am tired of it and this day and age I am just not "feeling the love" from our government!!
 
I was put on a jury once. We broke for lunch, came back and I fell asleep. I was dismissed. Then I got a summons in the mail for a federal trial. I just placed it in the trash and forgot about it. That was 8 years ago. Haven't been summoned since.
