Have you ever had a dance teacher who hated you?

Well, he's not my dance teacher per say, but I'm in a play and he's the choreographer. He is also the dance teacher at the studio I attend year round for mostly acting and singing, although I sometimes take his dance lessons (I usually don't since he is so rude to me.)
Examples.
1.) He called out all the main orphans (I'm in Annie Jr. and play July,) and he asked who played July. I raised my hand and he looked me straight in the eye and said this. 'No, I don't want July.' Later he was forced to put me in the dance number so he did.
2.) He yelled at me when I forgot to put my hands on the girls shoulders, where in the other cast when the other girl forgot she got nicely told to.
3.) He is always SURE not to pick me for something. Like he looks at me like he is about to pick me and then picks someone else instead, even if they're worse then me. He just has a hatred for me, and I don't know why.
4.) He always SKIPS doing the choreography for my solos.
Now he is very nice, but stern and very strict. I don't care if he likes me or not, but he is embarassing me in front of the whole cast, and it feels like he doesn't respect me as a proffesional. I've been at this theater longer than he has and everyone LOVES him, they think he's so funny and nice; due to this, if he insults me in front of the whole class people would most likely take his side. I don't mean to whine like a baby, but I don't know what to do. If we don't work on the choreography for my solos sooner or later, then he'll probably forget. Sometimes when you try and ask him or talk to him he shuts you out. He LOVES some of my family members, so I have no idea why he hates me. I'm not sure if I said this already, but I am not the BEST dancer, but in my group (of orphans,) I'd say I am one of the best. He treats us like we're on Broadway, when really we're just teenagers (and although MOST of us act proffesional,) he works us like Broadway stars which is really intimidating. Sorry if this question was too long.
Questions.
1.) Have you ever had a dance teacher that hated you? Please share your experience and how you dealt with it.
2.) What should I do about this?
3.) What do you think about this?
4.) Is he right or wrong about this?

Good luck xoxo.
God bless xoxo.

Yes I've had dance teachers who treated me rudely like that. In those cases I have just switched studios. Not every teacher is for everyone!

I've also had an experience where a director was mean to me, but since I was in a show I had to just stick it out.

Since you are having a problem with the choreographer, can you talk to the director? Are there any other adults witnessing these actions? I would suggest to find an adult to talk to about this. You want to do it in a way so that it does not sound like you are whining or tattling. So what you need to do is let the director know that you are concerned that you have not been given your solos to practice. The director should be concerned about this as well because after all if it's a flop it falls on the director.

It sounds like the choreographer may be setting you up to fail, so that when he finally gives you your solos you hardly have time to learn it and then it looks like crap.

Don't give him the satisfaction. Like others said kill him with kindness, and get out there and give your best at every rehearsal no matter what!

He sounds like a real jerk, I'm sorry that other people can't see that! Hang in there!
