Have you driven a 4 CYLINDER Ford Escape ?

It s the old model ~ 2001, Is the 4 cylinder good ? . I wonder if this crossover is underpowered with the 4 cylinder ? and how about handling, in compare to a sedan, (let say 4 cyl 2.2 camry or 2.3 accord )
