Probably the best new American band of the last year. They completely capture the old Motown/R&B/Soul sound so perfectly and manage to add their own modern twist. And if you can believe it, they're about twice as good live. I can attest personally, having seen them at ACL fest. Respeck.

Ya dude they're really good...check out the Daptone 7" Single Collection, it's a bunch of similar stuff from Daptone RecorRAB, including her. Awesome modern vintage soul, these guys really capture the sound dead on!
 
I have heard them. Pretty awesome band. I could be wrong, but I think it is some of the same people from Amy Winehouse's band. I like this retro kind iof sound. Ryan Shaw has it going too.
 
I loved them live at Roskilde festival this year, but when I got the cd I was a little dissapointed. Must have been the energy they had while performing.
