Have Vampire Romance novels killed the Vampire genre for a while?

I know everyone is either in love with these romances, or just can't wait to grab a stake at the next person who mentions a vampire. I'm curious if the genre of vampires have been done to death thanks to part to the vampire romances, and leaving out the possibility of authors trying to get a "traditional" vampire out there? Thanks!

P.S. Yes I know there are people who will comment that "we don't need anymore vampire, werewolf stories etc". I get it, I'm just asking from a creative point of view, as supernatural things have always peaked my interest.
