Have the American Workers for Toyota killed off their Reputation?

Toyota has long been known for high quality cars and trucks. The only problems appear to come from ONLY American made models. So, has American labor diminished the reputation of Toyota and the brand name? While all of the Japanese made versions appear to be fine. What do you think?
While you are correct emiller about the Prius not being made in America, it's engineered by Americans.

Boy that just proves a point, Japanese made stuff is better.

Ford is also using same gas pedals from the same vendor. Do you here them recalling their vehicles about it. Toyota initiated the recall, not the safety board.

I dont know much about the company that makes the pedals, but Toyota engineers should have caught this from the drawing boards.

The Pruis isn't American made. The pedals that had been a problem since the 90's weren't made in the US or by the current supplier until 2005.

Toyota got lazy and its their own fault. Besides why didn't the Japanese management notice these issues years ago and fix them?
