I am not suggesting that Britain does not have a huge budget deficit, it clearly does. But is the reduction of it quite as tough as people predict, and are predictions of Athens-style riots on the streets of London a bit of an exaggeration? Surely every knew government there has ever been has made political gain by saying how bad the last lot was. Britain is always in the worst state it has ever been in according to these people. Wasn't Cameron's election address "things are crap, vote for me?"
