Okay so my jumping coach sent me a couple of videos of me triple jumping so I could look at my phases and when I was watching myself run on the runway, I looked soo slow. And judging with some of my times, I know I didn't use to run like that at all. I've done track for 4 going on 5 years now but the two previous years I did it during the summer for about a month but never competed in the meets. I started to feel a slight decline during my 8th grade year, but I'm not sure if its getting worse. We go to the weight about 2-3 times a week but our coach says scientifically those who work in the weight room as opposed to those who run just outisde are going to get faster. We usually do squats, bench press, bench dips, hamstring stretch/curls, push press, standing military lifts about every other week, and low pulls when we are in there. But we only stay in there for about 20-30 minutes each time. I can feel myself runnning even slower than we first started this season, which was about over a month ago. Some days, I feel my legs being extraaa heavy. Shouldn't I be getting better? Shouldn't I have gotten better from when I first started this sport? Does anyone have a slight idea what's wrong?
Oh btw I'm a freshman.
