DH and I are leaving in March to hike the AT - from the AT forums it looks like there are at least a handful of people walking with their dog - I'm super excited about playing with someone else's dog on the trail : )
Just wondered if anyone here has ever thru-hiked with their dog before? If not the AT, any hike longer than a week or so, and how did it turn out?
flip - I didn't say I was bringing a dog, I said I was going to play with the other hikers' dogs. Yes, I know you cannot have them in the Smokies - I've hiked there numerous times. Other national and state parks ban dogs as well.
No TD's from me - there are always trolls who TD answers . . .
