Have any of you entered or know about the Siemens Competition for Math, Science, and...

...Technology? I have a few questions:

1) Is it too late for me to consider entering? Apparently, the competition has been open since April 1, 2010. I just found out about it a few days ago. The deadline is October 1st I believe to submit entries. So basically, I only have two months to work on this research project. It seems like a lot of time, but it's really not because of how tightly packed my academic and work schedule already is.

2) Do you need to provide any models, constructions, dioramas (other 3-d items) etc. that you have built to demonstrate your topic? Is that necessary or is this competition purely one about research: i.e. just thinking of a problem, researching in-depth about the problem, pitching hypothetical solutions, etc.?

3) Do you know of any real projects which have been submitted to this competition? Please enlighten me.

4) Any other tips?
