Have any of you done an apprenticeship?

I am in my last year of college now, just turned 18 a month ago, and I'm not applying to university.
Instead I'm going to work for a year and then start an apprenticeship.

So my questions are: have you done one? still doing one? did you regret not going to university or did it not affect you in that sense?
