I usally rent a cargo van and load the bike and bring a generator and a air mattress and camp out....

some motorcycle friendly motels/pubs offer o/nite garaging.check your local bike mags,they usually advertise in them. hj

I've done a couple of 100mile trips on my bike and had no problems just finding something to lock it too.. If yout taking it off the van then park the back wheel next to the van and chain the wheels together, i do this in my garage when flying away for a while. I always carry a cover and i'd agree a cover is number 1 deterant.

How old are your kids.. put them on guard shifts over night
