I have watched ESPN and Sportscenter consistently for over a decade now, but I feel like I have heard the word "Turnberry" more in the last week than I have in all of my life combined. The same can be said a few weeks earlier when they consistently referred to "Bethpage Black."
Has anyone else noticed this? It seems like they are making a concerted effort to refer to course names as opposed to simply referring to the British Open/US Open.
