Has The 3d Novelty Worn Off?

Earlier in the year i was quite keen to try out 3D and saw Bolt and Monsters V Aliens. I also saw Final Destination a few wekks back as there was no 2D screenings. But now i want to see Up and i am not in the least bothered about seeing it In 3D. In fact I think i would rather see the 2D version. So the novelty worn off rather quickly for me. Personally I think the glasses are really uncomfortable. They push against the side of your head and i had to take them off several times when I went to a 3D film. Also of course it costs more even if you have an unlimited card. Anyone else feel the same? Im sure it must be causing confusion as well at cinemas advertising 2D version and 3D version. Plus it takes up more screens and cuts down on choice.

YEs but if your local cinema is a smaller multiplex which mine is you are not always getting a choice. Final Destination for instance was shown four times a day in 3D only. There were no 2D screenings.

3d films make me really ill. i tried watching coraline and had to stop after half an hour and had a terrible migraine. same thing happened when i went to see my bloody valentine 3d, but that wasn't quite as bad coz the glasses were slightly better

Well it has moved on from the 80s, it is better. Saying that, I've never been on the 3D trend, not a fan at all. Just waiting to see how Avatar does with a different kind of 3D effect(one that apparently doesn't cause headaches). Can't wait.
