Has Sony ever considered to have the "Killzone" series to also have books?

I'm an avid book reader and also video games. I think it'd be wise to have the Killzone universe in a book as well, Halo, Resistance, Gears of War they all have it and are pretty successful last I heard. So why hasn't Sony made the Killzone series have a book series. Like what happened in the first Extrasolar War, what happened during the ISA invasion of Helghan from a civie point of view, how does Earth view the Helghast and the ISA etc
