1-4 in last 5 Starts with a GAA way over 4.00!

Where are all his supporters now?

But he has the cool nickname on the T-Shirts and everything.Who the hell is gonna use "Conk Blocker" now?

Why have me and three women answered this question so far?

*Mrs Spearer I wasnt around last night.

i'm a buffalo fan. i haven't read the other answers. conklin is a top 10 goalie in the league. no doubt about it.

Aside from tonights game agains the Isles, Conklin has played incredibly well while Fleury was out. Teams have losing streaks. Look at Toskala. Last year he was great along side Nabokov, but this year is embarassing. Conklin is a good goalie and has solidified himself as a goalie here in Pittsburgh. He will be back on point. GO PENS!

<----- Clearly I am not biased

Well lets see-

Fleury returned in a Feb. 28th game against the Bruins, he came in relief of Conklin. Here are their records since then.

Feel free to yell at me if my calculations are wrong, cause odds are I screwed up somewhere

Conks- 1-4-0 (and he got damn lucky on the 1, Refs waved off two Sabres goals)
GAA- 3.6
Save %- .87

Fleury- 6-1-0
GAA- 1.57
Save %- .94
Shutouts- 1

Not much of a debate

Hi
Mr Nips, I would believe they can be found over on the other coast. They have found someone new to support for the next couple weeks.

Thank You

I think now that Fleury is back, Conklin feels nervous and seems more worried about starting for the playoffs than just playing the game as each game comes day by day that Therrian puts him in there. Conklin has been giving up bad rebounds, he gets smoked everytime someone shoots a long slap shot on him. The Penguins defense also played miserably tonight and the Penguins offense played with no heart and didn't seem to try.

Can't say I didn't tell them so. Started getting SO tired of the " Shouldn't Conklin still start when Fleury returns?" or the "Where should we trade Fleury?" or the "Conklin for Vezina?"

I said it before, I'll say it again....Aubin, Boucher, Hedberg, Lalime...etc. You can't even compare them to Carey because at least he was great for a full year. I am starting to think Tim Thomas might join this list as well.

I'll support him. I'll support any Pittsburgh goalie until we get a defense that can support our goalies. The Penguins depend way to much on the goalie. Not every goalie in the league is a Brodeur. In Conlkin's little run he had going, the defense depended on him way too much. Finally, the defense dependency has caught up with Conklin. In my eyes, he is still great goalie. He still made 32 saves tonight. He was solid between the pipes, except for the shorthanded goal. I still feel Conklin is the starter for the playoffs, though it won't work in his favor. The defense has to step up no matter who is in net. You also can't win a game when your offense scores one goal.

I also feel he was one of the biggest reasons the Pens are playing for first in the division/conference. Don't forget, we were a 7th place team when Fleury went down. We have played between 2nd and 4th since Conklin came in. A 1-4, recent record, should never overshadow what he has done for this team.

Marc Andre Fleury has been my favorite Pittsburgh Penguin for two seasons now. I never liked Conklin that much. He just had a good run, that's all. Fleury is the starting goalie of the Pittsburgh Penguins. If not for his injury, I think he would have had 40 wins again. He's a top 10 NHL goalie right now imo. Has all the potential to be a top 5.
