This is a long shot but, I remember seeing a film a long time ago. One of the final scenes was a couple being chased by someone in a skyscraper.
The man fires shots outside a window but knows that no one on the ground will have heard as they are too high up.
They eventually escape and the guy goes home but the person pursuing him is there too.
Does this sound like Project Shadowchaser?
I have read the IMDB site about it and it gives all the usual info and indeed the first film is set in a skyscraper. I have found very little on Youtube and was looking for more conclusive results.
