Has anyone used Flavomax instead of Pulmicort?

I hate giving my child steroiRAB - always have. I won't go into the long history - but our son is not a severe case of asthma - they are still calling it reactive airway disease. Our pulminologist wants him on pulmicort 2x a day (thru nebulizer) to help calm things down and hopefully if he had a bad coughing fit then the pulmicort would prepare him and make it less severe. They compare it to a seatbelt - it won't prevent you from injury in a car crash but you are safer with it on.
So I did some research and am trying to learn about Flavomax .Flavomax is an anti-viral agent, anti-inflammatory. Supports healthy cardiovascular function and circulation. Helps keep blood vessels elastic. Protects capillaries, veins and arteries, and protects against oxidation or LDL (bad) cholesterol - helps asthma, allergies, sinustitis, and many other things.
