I've no idea what this object is. It's about 11 x 10cm and made of some sort of wood. Apparently the symbols at the bottom might be runes? Although someone else told me they were Hebrew.
It was found in a cupboard along with other old objects that my grandmother had collected. She's no longer alive so we're not sure where she got it. She had travelled all over the world so it could have come from anywhere.
It'd be great if someone out there can help me, especially in working out what the symbols at the bottom are (you can see them in the 3rd photograph).
