being an openly gay Muslim, I was asked to volunteer at an event by facilitating a discussion following showing the movie "Jihad for Love".. Any ideas on how to do this and what to bring up? I am a little nervous

meanwhile, I am watching the movie in advance and trying to take down notes

I've seen parts of it. Really unsettling movie.

It's a discussion about a movie called "Jihad for Love", so I'm going to assume it's okay to generate controversy. You could try asking if anybody sees a parallel between Muslim countries that ban homosexuality for religious reasons, and political moves like implementing Proposition 8, despite Prop 8 technically being a secular bill implemented in a secular country.

You could talk about religion's view on homosexuality in general, be it from a Muslim or Judeo-Christian perspective.
From what I know about Judeo-Christian views (and the comparatively little I know about the Muslim view), I get the impression that God or Allah is beneficient, and omnipotent. Would a god who hated homosexuality still be omnipotent if he couldn't change it? Would he still be beneficient if he could change it but didn't, even though he'd be condemning gay people to Hell?
On the flip side, is homosexuality his way of testing certain people's religious faith, in the sense of being able to choose faith over homosexuality? (Not my view, I just include it to play the Devil's Advocate.)
