Has anyone ridden the new Ducati 696?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy the new Ducati 696 and was wondering (before I test ride the bike) if it's any good? From what I've currently read, the bike seems to be quite good and at a good price!

It's either that or a Buell XB-9S.

I've test rode the Ducati 696 and 898. Both are very nice bikes as far as power and handling go, but the biggest flaw with Ducati bikes and the reason why I don't want one to ride on an everyday basis is that the engine produces alot of heat on inside of the rider's thighs especially if you have to ride in slow traffic on hot summer days which in AZ where I live is alot.

Even if the Ducati isn't my prefered bike, I'd take it over the Buell, because I think it an overall better bike.


I currently ride a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R.
 
There's a test in the most recent Motorcycle Consumer News. Don't have it in front of me, but I think they liked it.
