I am looking at doing a trip with a cpl of friends, we are wanting to go London- Beijing or even on to Bangkok via Russia and Mongolia. We originally started planning this trip almost 6 years ago, then with life and all, we just dropped it, now a few things have changed and we are looking at making a go of this. Basically looking for any hints people can give, but most of all does anyone have a suggestion on what bikes to use?
We would LIKE to use BMW GS 1150/1200 Adventure models (same as those used in Long way round/Long way down) however the cost of these bikes may be prohibitive for a member of our group, does anyone have any ideas on another bike that we could use for this trip?
