Has anyone had their Wii overheat?

I have mine laying horizontal instead of vertical and it seems extremely warm.

I don't know if it was overheating issues, but I had a launch day Wii and it locked up after about 5 minutes of game play and then would lock up instantly if I tried immediately after. Nintendo overnighted me a new one for free the same day.

same here... fan gets stuck make sure its running....if its stuck u can try to losen it with a small screwdriver

When PS2's came out, there was that whole thing of "Turning it vertical is bad for the disc drive"

I'm not sure if I want to take that chance with my Wii

It won't be bad for the disc because it is marketed vertically

The disc drive in the PS2 and the one in the Wii aren't very alike.
