Has anyone had the fallopian tube test...where they shoot iodine up into the

uterus & see if it comes out the? fallopian tubes. Its to test if everything is working properly...Anyone? Just wondering My husband and I have been ttc for a year & the doctor suggested to do some testing to make sure everything is fine....I'm freaking out about it says its safe but still seems werid to me.....Any info anyone has will help.....Thank you so much!
 
Hi. I had one done about 8 months ago. As far as it hurting...it's more of a very heavy period tye cramp...unless they need to dilate your cervix...this hapened to me. In order to shoot the dye up they have to go through your cervix and mine wouldn't open for them so they had to dilate me which if they say needs to be done ask them for pain meds...in my case the OB who came into dilate me thought I was already medicated and I wasn't. I was so nervous I didn't think to ask for medication. The procedure who have been no problem at all if I didn't need to be dilated. Also, you will have some spotting afterwards...this is normal....Some Dr's even say you are very fertile after the procedure and have better odds of getting pregnant. I hope it all works out for you.
