Has anyone had carpel tunnel with back problems

I started having problems with my right hand going nurab a few months before my surgery (ALIF with fusion). I told my surgeron about it before my surgery and he said I had carpel tunnel and to wait till after surgery it may go away. Well it did go away for a few weeks and then it came back, my hand goes nurab usually while sleeping at night and it is so hard to get the feeling back. I have an appt to see my surgeron on Sept 12th so I am going to mention it to him again. So I was wondering if anyone with back problems has experienced carpel tunnel.

Hi, i had ACDF fusion of c5 c6 in Feb, 2010 after the surgery i kept telling the surgeon my left side still hurts. I had to wait about 3 months post op for them to do the EMG,, so the results would be accurate. It showed mod to severe cts on left. Just a couple weeks ago my right hand started having symptoms, so i am scheduled for an EMG on that one. I cant believe im looking at 2 surgeries in one years time. Estella
