Has anyone had an issue with a broken suspension in an '07 Honda Civic which happened

w/out cause (no accident? My husband was driving on the interstate and the suspension just went and he lost total control of the car. We have had the car for 2 years, no accidents, went for a 30,000 mile check-up and it has about 36,500 miles on the warranty. Honda is accusing him of lying - that this "could not have happened" without him doing something, so I'd like more information on what the cause of a broken suspension is and whether anyone else has had this (he could have been seriously injured).
I know *nothing* about cars - but the guy said that the A frame just snapped (if that makes sense...).
