Just curious as we might be in this situation of losing a bridesmaid (BM) and groomsman (GM).
I thought I was making it so easy on my BM's -- I bought their dresses and jewelry for them -- all they had to do was come up with black shoes (and what woman doesn't own at least a half dozen pairs of black shoes? I even told them to just wear what they already have), pay for any alterations the dress may need and because I need them at the wedding site the day before for rehearsal they would have 2 nights at the hotel (which I got at a blocked rate of $90/night AND I even found a motel option for only $40/night).
OH, and they've known about the wedding for 2 years and had their dresses and knew the hotel pricing a year ago.
My MOH is paying for the entire bridal shower because my BM's can't afford to chip in - - so they don't have any extra cost there.
I have very mixed emotions about this. I feel like I did something wrong that this is happening but at the same time I am kinda angry because doing this at the last minute creates all this drama and I now have to run around like crazy to make different arrangements.
Weddings are supposed to be fun - ugh!
