Has anyone ever taken a painting class?

If so did you have to spend a lot of money on supplies, over $100 or $200?

Did you have to carry a big canvas around in public or did it fit in a portfolio?

In high school...no...although we did complete a large scale work on canvas. It was provided for us because we weren't allowed to keep the piece when we were done. It's up on display in my school...

No, I don't suppose you will have to carry around a large canvas, unless you are painting something in public.
