As the title suggests, it's a book of letters written by a poet, Ranier Maria Rilke to Franz Kappus, a 19-year-old student at the Military Academy of Vienna who wrote poetry. Ranier Maria Rilke was a very talented Austrian poet, whose writing style was just amazing, so I think the book is definitely worth reading.
