has anyone ever hiked the appalachian trail ,?

just wandering what its like, weather, wildlife how far from cities are you what is the widest part of the trail? any info would be appreciated ,thanks
 
Ive never hiked the whole trail, but I did hike Blood Mountain once. I loved it. there is a lot of wildlife and it is beautiful. temperature wise its not bad at all and you are in the shade a lot from the trees.it is a great hike. im going again this summer with my youth group(:
