Well, Jimmy James Palao was the first American Jazz Artist to coin the name Jazz. He was the Leader of the Original Creole Orchestra. He played with all of the Jazz greats such as Buddy Bolden, Freddie Keppard, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong and the list goes on and on. He played and brought Jazz to the 75 States in America in the early 1900's. I just read the book Keep It Real, The Life Story of Jimmy Palao and the book was made me melt. It gave true historical account of what important role Jimmy Palao played in Jazz in the early 1900's, he formed many bands and lead Jazz throughout this United States. He was one of the greatest Jazz greats of his time. The book Keep It Real The Life Story of Jimmy Palao is a best seller.
