My fiance and I would like to get married but are on a very tight budget, I have searched inside the box and outside but all options of a venue for the reception are so expensive and we really don't want to get in to debt. So I came up with the idea of possibly erecting a small marquee attached to the back of our house in the garden, using our garage which is attached to the garden as a bar area, my fiances work mates (who are all chefs) could arrange the food and paying for someone to serve drinks and take care of any guests needs. Our guest list is maximum of 70 people around 15 of those being children. I would like to know if anyone has done this before or attended as a guest to something similar and what your experiences are? any ideas or advise would be great! the idea is not set in stone yet but we are considering it as the best solution at the moment.
