Someone told me that they used to "battle watches". He said that they would pull the pin and put them together to see which one stopped ticking first. He said that by putting them together, the more expensive one would outlive the cheaper one. I asked if the one watche affected the other just by being so close to it, he assured me it did. I don't understand why, is there a magnet in the watches that can affect one if too close. Is this true? These are self winding watches, if that helps. Thanks!
