Has anyone else noticed this, and do you think it's a scam?

Now a days, there are more and more movies coming out in 3D. I've been to about 3 this year. What I've noticed is, unlike older 3D movies, there is little to no 3D action in the movie. This is true in "The Last Airbender", "Alice in Wonderland", and many others- 3 total minutes of 3D action. A 3D movie costs about $5 more than a regular adult ticket. Also, Movie attendies has been slowly declining over the years, because people can see movies in there own house for $5 on demand, or on the internet for free. However, If a movie is in 3D, people will be more likely to go to the movies to see the movie because they want that 3D experiance- moreso if it is also in IMAX. Do you think producers are just adding a couple little segments of 3D action in order to get that extra money from movie go-ers?

It is because most 3D movies are just the normal movie turned into 3D. Movies are not made just for the 3D effects. I'm sure the longer 3D is out, more movies will be made just for 3D.

I noticed this too. It's a complete rip off. The movie companies want to make their movie seem better than it is by boasting the use of RealD 3D. It motivates more people to see the movie. You can also buy 3D DVDs and there is now a 3D TV. So yes, there has been a huge decline of 3D movies that actually have a lot of 3D. Sometimes I see a movie with 3D and think to myself, "why didn't they make that 3D?" It is just a scam to make us pay five extra dollars for a movie.

I've yet to see any movie that was improved by 3D. Either its had no effect, or made it worse, like Clash of the Titans and Shrek where the 3D made things in the background blurry.
