Has a century plus of passing laws helped?

What do legislative authorities do ?

They pass laws --- they have been passing laws for over 100 yrs in this nation

Has that helped ?

Should we find something more constructive for our political class to do other than adding to a century old pile ?

Should they be touring the working conditions of the labour markets or the jails or other places within the scope of their representation ?

Or should they just continue to add to a 100 yr old and ever growing pile of things we should not be doing ?

Yes that could happen

I was just trying to figure out a better way for them to spend their time

They clearly need to refocus their priorities or be given some busy work --- either way adding to the pile hasn't helped much has it?

What do you suppose they would be doing if they toured "the working conditions of the labour markets or the jails," etc.? I think they would be making more laws. Can you picture it? Sec. 90899 art. f1, cl. ivx: No employee shall have any beverage within 400 yards of an electrical outlet.
Employee is defined as any working human.
Beverage is defined as any drinkable liquid, including, but not limited to H20 and especially coffee, which shall also be punishable under Sec. 908765 art. d3, cl. iv.

Many of our state legislators are working lawyers and they work pretty much where people live. The last thing I want is the federal government in our every move.
