Why did Lord Voldemort award Igor Karkaroff with The Dark Mark, whereas Igor lived so far away and was feeble ??

Why do you suppose people feared the Dark Lord's name, even if they 'believed' he was gone –that is in Harry's first years-?? (I think it was Tabooed in the first war)

What do they do with the Wizard's wands after they go into Azkaban ??

If Azkaban was placed in the North Sea, how did they manage to escape it ?? [they can't swim all these miles while they are weak and wand-less (assuming that they snapped them)]

About the were they put the wands thy dont break them but keep them locked up somewhere. And some powerfull wizards can preform magic without wands.
 
they dont snap them sirius has a wand dosn't he?plus if you go to buy one i noticed it says sirius's wand.
i'm guessing that wands go to the minestry.
but i dont know how they escaped,we know bella was helped out in her escape.but how sirius left seems unexplainable.......unless he could appeariate without a wand.no idea.
i dont know about the karkaroff thing.but i think people thought it was bad luck to say the dark lords name.
