Harmony 550/PVR 5900 volume

How do I setup my remote so I don't have to change back to TV to change the volume ? I have logged in and change volume setting to PVR in Activities but it still won't work.

If any can help I'd appreciate it Thanks
 
I could be wrong but won't you need to have the Remote change the volume on the actual item that the Volume is coming out of, eitehr the TV or the Amp.?

There is NO volume control on the PVR.....
 
Reconfigure your activity and tell it that you control the volume on your TV, not your PVR - the PVR doesn't have variable output. Then the volume up/down will send a signal to your TV.
 
Got the 550 as a Xmas gift.

Thanks for the tip. Ran into the same problem with my 4700.

Beyond that, I found it a beast to set up. I thought I was tech savvy and most reviews say anyone can program this remote in under 30 minutes. I've been fiddling with this for the better part of a week off and on including 3 calls to tech support.
 
I've had a 550 for over a year now. It isn't a 30 min setup by any stretch. Well maybe if all you do is have it control the tv. Tweaking it makes it very nice to use. Don't be afraid to experiment with it.
