I am on my second set of 402s just because it was easy and I was in a hurry. I am not unhappy with them at all and my indy shop gave me a much better deal than the dealer. When the rear gives it up I may try something different but that will be the end of next season, due to my work load reducing my riding time. at least I got a good run in yesterday and I am considering the Idaho HOG rally next weekend.

Here's another +1 for the E3s. I've only had the set on the bike for 6 weeks (2500 miles) but so far I'm pleased with them. The biggest thing I've noticed is reduced tracking. The wife & I just returned from a trip to Copper Harbor (MI) which required crossing the Mackinaw Bridge twice. The outside lanes were closed part of the way and the bike seemed less squirrely on the inside "cheese grater" lanes than it did last time I crossed back in June.

I'm anxious to see what kind of service life I'll get out of these. I never got more than 10k out of a 402 rear and everything I've read says the E3s should last longer.

I talked to the owner of a specialty motorcycle tire shop and asked what he recommended. He asked me first what I was running and what mileage I was getting. When I told him I was running the stock 402's and told him I was getting around 17 or 18,000 on the rear and 30,000 on the front, he told me it sounds like I have the perfect tire.

The 402's work for me. I'm sure there are better tires but they work well for me and I don't feel the need to change.
