So my wife and I are getting ready to get our first Harley. I went to the dealer and sat on a whole bunch of bikes and since I've been racing dirtbikes since I was 10, I really like the compact feeling of the Sportster. My question is... I weigh 210 and my wife weighs 170. The guy at the dealer said that the weight will be too much for an 883 and need to go with the 1200. Is this true or is he just trying to sell me a bigger bike? My 2-stroke 400 dirtbike can pull both of us without any issues whatsoever. That is why I am kinda confused.
