Harley Davidson! BUT.....?

I am working on purchasing either a nice harley or a sport bike and am going tomorrow to take my permit test. I have always dreamed of getting a motorcycle since I was 5 and saw my uncles, but my parents won't approve now!
They keep saying stuff like "your friends got bikes cause their parents don't love them" and "we don't want to have to take care of a paraplegic son the rest of our lives!" Why re they fighting me so hard!?
I know they love me but it's getting really annoying! They don't mind me doing things like underwater-welding or getting a pilots license!
by the way they are not going to stop me from getting a bike bu I'd just wish they would support me in my decision!
 
They're scared! Ok well think about it, your mom or dad driving a motorcycle or sport bike. Wouldn't you worry? I had to deal with worrying for 14 years from my mom and dad riding motorcycle. I mean America has SO MANY incidents with motorcycle. One accident and you die or get injured so badly. They're worried =D Convince them you'll be SO responsible. They'll get use to it...after a long time haha!
