Harley BOOM speakers are well worth it.

2 years ago I took a RoadGlide for a test ride....and I had to turn the speakers allt eh way up to even hear the music at 70 MPH. It immediately turned me off on the whole deal. You guys must REALLY have good ears.

Seems like ear buds and an MP3 player are the only thigns that work for me

When I finally decide to get a bagger, I will be thinking this stuff over in my mind.

Next time I'm by the stealer, I'll have to look at them.

Out of curiousity, a 7.25 speaker is going to require enlarging the hole correct? If so, then THAT is going to turn folks off.

......... riding a motorcycle is quite unlike sitting in the living room (though the Ultras come pretty close) or in the cage w/the windows up (thnk gawd) and stereo is just not gonna work like it does in those environments.
..... i changed out the speakers on the RG to basic Hogtunes. The sound was certainly better sitting there in the garage, but i was initially disappointed in the on-road performance. I've found though, that as I ride, the ears adjust to the surrounding rush of air & the sounds clear & i'll even start turning the volume down cuz it's just not necessary to get the toonage across.

I completely understnd....I jsut expected a tad bit more.

My DYNA is stanting to wear on me a bit. Don't get me wrong, she is a REAL ass kicker performance wise and all, and has the old school look when cruising along, but I want something I can ride for longer than 200 miles in one day and not feel tired.

I'd like to get a bagger, but I just have to kick it around in my skull a bit more.

I like the batwing fairing, but not sure I like the idea of all the weight on the forks isntead of tied to the frame. Cornering dosen't interst me in the least....I like 2 lane blacktop like in your sig pic.

Just put a pair in and am very very happy with the sound improvement. I'm sure there are better...always is...but this is a big difference over the stock set up and that works great for me. Cudo's to all the info in this forum. Helped with the decision and making the install a breeze.
