I actually did ask a bunch of questions when I heard it. First of all, with or without the amp you get a huge jump in bass. The guy started to go into some stuff about wth the amp you get no distortion at max volume and about the increase in low frequency response because of the added tour pak volume ported from the rear speaker pods but he lost me a little. He did say you don't lose bass when you put loose material, like clothes in the tour pak.

I also asked about if the bass can be heard on the road goin' 70mph or more and he said most definitely yes because of the larger volume you get from the tour pak.

The best part about it is that it's only $60!

Game changer...Yes!

I have the hogtunes and my better half has the boom speakers. I ride her
bike at times and I think the hogtunes are better buy. for slight sound
quality and better price and warranty. my 2 cents

I can't find the J&M's without an amp. That's the 7.25's. I'm looking for more bass and clarity, so the 7.25's are an obvious choice, I just can't put that much into speakers while my stock ones are still working.
